Are you a Production Supervisor with hands-on mechanical and electrical skills who can support the Production Manager with the assembly and delivery of high value, top quality products whilst supervising a small team? This is a newly created role due to a 40% uplift in sales, so production will be increasing too – exciting times lie ahead.

If you enjoy being at the centre of a busy production environment with a small and knowledgeable team for a growing, engineering manufacturing company, then you will use your hands-on technical knowledge, your people skills, being flexible and focussed to deliver high quality products on time.


This Production Supervisor role will be varied:  


Supervision: ensuring the electrical and mechanical assembly team are working to the highest standards, on time, in an efficient, safe environment.  

Production: Learning the electrical and mechanical assembly processes to assist the team to meet production deadlines and be able to cover for holidays or absence.

• Technical: Follow the design specification to ensure correct assembly and finishes, liaising with the design team to solve arising issues

• Stock management: Ensuring all components and parts are available to fulfil orders. Goods in, putting away, overseeing stock movements at off-site warehouse. Liaise with purchasing regarding stock, orders and deliveries for production.

• Projects: liaise with both colleagues and external contractors to ensure projects are ready and if required, occasionally travel to site, to solve any problems

• Quality: Pre-delivery inspections to ensure cleanliness, tip-top presentation, and completeness of the order to specification

• Health & Safety: Overseeing H&S in production, reviewing risk assessments regularly and taking action as appropriate


Production Supervisor experience needed: 


• You should have some supervisory experience in a similar role, ideally gained in an engineering manufacturing and assembly environment, process driven and a forward planner.

• Preferably electrically and/or mechanically qualified with the ability to read engineering drawings and follow specifications

• Working with initiative you will be a team player who can manage your work efficiently, stipulates high standards and is also happy to meet customers on site if need be

• Outstanding organisational skills, high attention to detail, able to prioritise tasks, be professional and results orientated

• IT literate, with good M/S Excel, Outlook, and Word skills, ideally with a working knowledge of an MRP/ERP/SAP system, though specific training will be given 

• Full & clean UK driving licence. Flexible approach to work with occasional travel as required.



Salary and benefits: £30 – 35,000, 3% Pension contribution, Healthcare after 6 months, 25 days holiday + bank holidays, 

Hours: Monday to Thursday 09:00 to 17:15, Friday 09:00 to 17:00
