Job opportunities:


Are you a Quality Engineer who likes to get involved with production, suppliers, inspection and investigations, NPD, and provide engineering support to make continuous improvements and raise quality standards?  

Production Line Support:

• Are you good at solving problems independently?

• Are you ready to support the production line teams with Quality Leadership when technical issues arise?

Supplier Interaction:

• Could you be the point of contact for suppliers with Quality issues?

• Can you build relationships and trust with suppliers?

• Can you demonstrate leadership to continuously move forward and make improvements?

Inspection and Investigation:

• Do you have what it takes to inspect profiles, finished assemblies and development parts against Engineering drawing specifications?

• Are you comfortable leading investigations within production and support environments?

• Are you able to influence all levels of the business towards reaching common goals?


Skills and experience required for this Quality Engineer role:

• Apprentice engineer / NVQ Level 3 / Graduate engineer, ideally with some internal auditing experience in an engineering manufacturing environment

• Able to use precision measuring equipment e.g. FARO/CMM inspection equipment

• Ability to read engineering drawings with high levels of attention to detail

• Knowledge of Quality Management Systems, ISO 9001:15, root cause analysis with a practical approach to engineering manufacturing

• Sense of humour, good communication, problem solving and organisational skills, able to work with minimum supervision and be a real team player to add value

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint, ideally knowledge of Q Pulse or similar 

• Full UK Driving Licence and willing to travel in UK if required

About the company

Internal promotion means a new Quality Engineer is needed for this rapidly growing mechanical engineering original equipment manufacturer. This is a great opportunity for to you to really add value to the quality team working closely with the supplier base and manufacturing teams. Reporting to the Quality and Compliance Manager you will get involved in a broad range of quality and improvement activities as they continue to expand and develop new products so, you will play a key part in driving supplier and internal quality developments.
